Sara, it might help if you would get a copy of her CBC with Chem Panel and =
other tests and post all of that info. (It's a lot of work but sometimes t=
here is info there.) Is she fevering? Are any nodes up? How readily does=
she eat? When she tries to use her limbs what does it look it? Do her ha=
nds or feet make fists? What is her overall body appearance? Was an ultra=
sound tried of the abdomen AND of the chest? What does her feces look like=
? Was it tested? What does her urine look like was it tested for: pH, con=
centration, bacteria, blood? Is she up to date on her canine distemper vac=
cinations? =

Given her age, when they x-rayed her did they x-ray her chest, too?

There really needs to be more info to even get a rough idea of the possibil=
ities. Weakness is such a general symptom that no one can tell anything fr=
om it. =

It REALLY, REALLY sounds like you NEED to get to the vet who knows ferrets =
because if there is a chance of treating whatever your ferret is encounteri=
ng then it needs to be found by a vet who knows what to look for, which tes=
ts to do, how to interpret the test results in relation to ferrets, etc. an=
d for some things waiting is not in the best interests of the ferret becaus=
e it may reduce the ability to treat the problem, or to treat most effectiv=
ely.

2 years old but shes sick. i have no idea what. she sleeps all the time, if=
she plays, its only for about 3 minutes. she seems normal besides that (sh=
e eats, drinks, bright eyes and alert when awake, ect). i took her to the v=
et and they took x rays and they were fine, no tumors or broken bones. she =
wasnt able to use her front legs before and they gave her steriods and she =
got better but now shes off of the meds and looks like shes struggling with=
those legs again. when she walks, she staggers and sometimes goes backward=
s (which is what she did when she couldnt use her front legs). she also sha=
kes alot. i have no idea whats going on, i keep researching but i cant find=
anything that sounds right. i plan to take her to another vet that special=
izes in small animals but im afraid they are going to try to get me to put =
her to sleep. i dont believe thats the answer, i need to make sure the vet =
is trying. i feel like they just assume that is the answer if they dont kno=
w what is wrong. i dont know what to do. i m not giving up on my lucy that =
easy. please help. =
