thank you so much for answering my post.
when i took her to the vet, they told me she had a fever but when i got home i was
wondering if they knew that a ferrets temp was higher than a dog or cat (i went to
the closest vet, which was a dog and cat vet) but they gave her antibiotics for it. she
doesnt seem like she has one.
she eats netime theres food in front of her or if she hears it, shell go looking for it.
she drinks alot too.
before, when she couldnt use her front legs, she curled them up under her but now
she is using them, she can find the floor and all that. its a struggle, but she can walk
and everything. she rolls around when she wants to play so her balance is fine.
overall, she just looks wobbley aand unsteady when she walks. she looks like shes
trying to fight it and walk normal. once she gets going, she can run slowly. thats
whats weird, its like her sleeping, shaking, and wobbling are her only symptoms.
shes very alert, she holds her head up and looks around, her eyes are bright. she
gets up and goes to the bathroom in a corner or whatever feels like a corner (i dont
make her sleep in her cage while shes sick, she sleeps in my bed) and her fecies
look normal too.
with her xrays, they just checked for tumors and broken bones. her blood tests said
her count was normal. i know they said something was high in her liver or kidneys
or something but i cant remeber cuz i was a cryin mess and i went alone. they didnt
test her urine. she doesnt have her distemper shots but i really dont believe that is
what it is. i m goig to get her the shots if she gets better.
keep in mind that she went to the vet then got better..i just worry shes going back
again. she was almost back to normal until we took her off the meds. do u think its
possible she could have fallen and hurt her neck or something? she has a 3 story
cage and even though she could climb, she didnt go up to the upper levels until
later, then she stopped again.
do u think duck soup or pedilyte would help her stregthen up? i ask because she is
still eating adn drinking.
