What helps with IBD varies across individuals and may change over time. What works for one does not work for another it seems.
It can be as simple as eliminating a food causing an allergy, usually chicken, sometimes all poultry, sometimes other foods, or as simple as using a steroid like Prednisolone or chemo like Imuran, or a combo of one of those with an antibiotic and maybe some added fiber (like plain pumpkin puree, to being as complex as an approach as this routine Sherman needed to surivive a particularly bad bout of worsening:
