I did something really stupid today. My two dominant males were fighting and I reached down to pick one up and I got bit in the process. It's a pretty nasty bite with three puncture wounds almost to the bone. I have cleaned it with betadine. My question is should I get a tetanus shot? My babies are current on shots. I'm not sure if doctors here report bites and the city I live in has no regulations for or against ferrets. Will a tetanus shot even be warranted in a bite? My family say's yes, but I don't want to do anything that could put my babies in jeopardy.
