It just has been also noted that fish is an easy way to get both and is highly digestible in some other discussions where people mistakenly thought that fish was a bad food. I suspect that is why the memory surfaced.

Moderation is needed with certain oily seafood due to levels of unsaturated fats that are too high. It is rare to run into the resulting problem, Nutritional Steatis, which results from too much of the unsaturated fat in those fish or mollusks. Those food sources need to be large component of the diet before they cause problems, so people should not worry when good ferret food contains fish or fish oils. Just watch out for those cheap grocery cat foods that are mostly fish. Avoid those.

Some people prefer the flax as a source due to the smell of fish.
