Hello. I have a ferret named Wish, he is 6 yrs old. He was diagnosed with insulinoma almost a year ago. He's been doing very well on the prednisone and A/D food. Lately he's been more lathargic then usual. Mostly just getting up to eat and say hello and then right back to bed again. My vet said ferrets usually pass away within a year of diagnosis.

Today I picked him up and felt a lump. It's located under his right arm, (armpit area). It's not hard, it's more soft and kind of squishy. I need to know if this is a progression of his disease. Could the cancer be spreading? What's the most likely cause for this?

If anyone has any information regarding THIS ISSUE, please let me know asap. Please don't remind me to take him to a vet, as an appointment is the first thing I'm making in the morning, I would just appreciate some feedback from this community.

Thanks again.

Anna, Wish, Gus, and Oskar.
