We do the same, and did for our ferrets who reached
nine or ten. Heck, when we've had really old ferrets
they've almost always needed some medicine that they
hated. In some cases our vet would have us draw a
little Ferretone or Linatone into the syringe to help
make the medicine more palatable. The vet in question
(now retired) worked some 35 years with ferrets and
did some pioneering work.
