If you know the vet involved could you get a more detailed description. There is so little out there on this that having more firm things like your contribution here could be useful.

If you know the vet could you see what alternative possible causes the vet would postulate as also being in the running *if pathology was not done*. Having a handle on what may be a differential diagnosis also could tell a lot, esp. to list vet members.

We've had out share of "she-said/he-said" here with only opinions, and have even unfortunately had our share of badly unfounded assertions (the vastly incorrect sick shelter scare that even had folks looking up CDC contact info only about seven months ago is one example), so if you know that vet and the person can provide something firm on a topic that is this poorly documented it would be very useful.
