Hello everyone,

Basically, my 8 yr old ferret, Regan, was recently diagnosed with insulinoma. She has started a pediapred regimen of .75-6.7 mg/5ml 2x day. The first few weeks went well, but lately she really HATES getting her doses, and has started "clicking" her toungue alot. She also sticks her claws in her mouth as if she has something stuck on the roof of her mouth. It looks very painful. Very recently she is not eating, and wont't even let me hand feed her. I have been injecting Prescription diet AD and Nutrical into her mouth. She's also had diarrhea for the past 2 days. I'm so worried.

In addition, she just lost her best friend to adrenal disease and I think she's very depressed. I've been spending more time with her, but she's too weak to play and hop around, all she does is hide and sleep when I let her out. What can I do?
