After trying to answer some questions on a different list I am
beginning to wonder how many of the puzzling neurological cases we on
occasion hear about may be ADV as per the neurological diseases
section of _Biology and Diseases of the Ferret, 2nd ed_.
Here is a compilation of several things I found to address questions
about why the existing parvo vaccines do not protect against ADV (and
it appears that they might actually worsen the expression of the
disease if a ferret later gets it), and domestic and wild prevalence.
