Subject: Urinary Tract Infection?

My 6 year old male ferret (Keiko) had a year ago lost all his hair on his tail, backside and stomach, he had gotten thin and just as I was going to take him off to the vet- he started gaining weight and got all his hair back. He looks and acts normal now, but he appears to be urinating all the time-his fur down under that area is always wet with urine. I have to give him baths to clean him off (I don't use soap). Any thoughts? Can male ferrets get UTI's? or is it related to the loss of hair last fall?
