If you do use the carafate for your ferrets stomach problems, make sure to wait for a while (I believe an hour? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong) bewtween the carafate and the pediapred. The carafate will prevent the absorption of the pediapred.

Try a wide variety of foods and food mixes to get her to eat...try it warm, try it cool, try it cold; add a few drops of half and half to make it creamy; add a bit of canned pumpkin if her stools are loose...add some electrolyte fluid (baby formula, no sugar) for dehydration...try spoon feeding, try finger feeding, dab some on her nose; use a syringe...add some water; leave some water out. Try moistened kibble; try ground up kibble w/water, add some ferretvite, ferretone, etc. Usually one of these will work for those ferrets who don't want to eat.

good luck, hang in there!
