Anyway, our Cindy has a cut off appearance to the end of her tail as well. (I first noticed it when she was about 3-4 years old.) With her it is behavioral. I have actually seen her chewing the end off it when bored or stressed. Hopefully this is all it is with your Precious.
* I have been observing Precious very closely, and have noticed that the one side of the tail that is balding is the side she is chewing on. She literally chases her tail all the time, and never realized until I read your post that maybe she was doing it to try and grab her tail to chew, and that's what it looks like she was doing!! She has been extremely stressed lately, with the death of one of her bedmates, and with her mom(me) being EXTREMELY stressed and crying all the time, I'm wondering if it's taking a tole on her. I haven't seen any other signs of adrenal disease whatsoever, but just to be sure, am taking her for a checkup.
Thanks for the input, very helpful!!
I'm also very sorry to hear your Ollie died basically the same way my little boy did. What a horrible thing to happen, I definately feel your pain.
