Hi everyone,

One of my ten ferrets was diagnosed with coccidia on Monday. He is now seperated, and on Albon for 2 weeks.

Pig Pen is a year and a half year old male ferret, who has a blaze, but can hear. He has always been healthy up until a week ago. He was vomitting, lethargic, lost his appitite, and was going potty a lot, but not always producing. His stool wasn't formed, but not liquid either. His urine is little squirts.

I also noticed he wasn't eating his kibble or drinking from the water bottle, only a water dish. I gave him duck soup, which he ate heartily, and boosted his energy. His upper left canine is broken, the vet said it didn't break enough to expose the pulp.

He know has his good days and his bad days Thursday he was being his old Pig Pen self, eating, playing. Friday he was lethargic, vomitting and not eating.

Is ths typical of coccidia? The vet didn't feel anything, but that hs bladder is small, so she didn't do an x-ray. She did take blood, still waiting for the results though.

Any thoughts? I'd aprpreciate hearing them.

Thanks!
Nicole
