I'd like to know if anyone has had any luck in using just the proglycem and no pred
or other medications?? This is what I was considering trying with Cujo since he can't
tolerate the pred or dexamethasone. Also, I read that one of the side effects of the
proglycem can be nausea. Has anyone had this happen or other side effects? I don't
want to be doing the wrong thing.
Cujo was diagnosed a couple of months ago with insulinoma . His glucose count
was 60. He is approx. 6 and 1/2 and has had bouts of nausea off and on most of his
life. I forgot to mention that I work for an animal shelter and have been bottle
feeding two abandoned kittens since a week ago. I brought them home with me on
a Sunday and Cujo became sick on Tuesday morning. He hasn't come into contact
with the kittens at all and I always change my shirt between handling the kittens and
Cujo. I change clothes immediately upon getting home from work and never bring
my shoes inside so that Cujo won't come into contact with anything. I'm wondering
if he could have possibly brought on the vomiting and lethargy from the stress
maybe caused by bringing the kittens in?
