Subject: Bailey, diarrhea and "duck soup"

Hi all,
Bailey is now on Prednisone for Insulinoma. He seems to be doing well on that with few, if any, seizures lateley. He has lost quite a bit of weight, tho, so I feed him duck soup in addition to his crunchies. However, he is still struggling with diarrhea. The duck soup recipe I use is Turkey baby food, Ferretvite, and Boost (protein drink). I am wondering if the Boost is contributing to the diarrhea because it has milk in it. Is there a powdered form of a protein suppliment that I can use instead? Any other ideas to replace that with?
I am also putting Apple flavored Pedialyte into his water (half & half) to prevent dehydration, which he loves and drinks a lot more water than he usually does. I am wondering tho, if there is too much sugar in that, or if that is OK since he has low blood sugar to begin with?
