Caitlyn;
Approx a month ago it hapopened to us for the first time.
Go to the store and in the health and beauty area look for a steptic pencil i think i the razor area.
Its white and kinda looks like a white crayon,with no paper.
But if this happens and you can't find the steptic pencil,use flour.
I was told this helps too.
i know there was alot of blood,but next time HOPEFULLY there won't BE a next time,you'll be able to save some money on a vet visit.
As far as what to ;look for ,does it look swollen?
Billy never went to the vet for it,i just watched it... It appears to be growing back a nail :D
Leave the blood alone it will eventually come off.

Hi, everyone,

Yesterday when I got home from work I let the ferrets
out as always. Nyssa had a nail caught in the
hammock. I went for the nail clippers but before I
could get back and free her Nyssa had freed herself --
by literaly ripping out the nail.
