Hello,
I was just looking for some help with a ferret who is not eating. Currently he is still active and running around the house like normal, but he just isn't touching his food or drinking out of his bottle. He does eat his treats that I give him, and he drinks the water off of the shower floor, but that's about it. All of this leads to him not pooping.
I took him to the vet yesterday thinking it could be a blockage. They did a barium test on him and found no blockage but a lot of gas. The barium worked its way through and he was relieved of his gas.
I am suspecting that he is sensitive to his food. I have been feeding him science diet kitten for 2 1/2 years. Does anyone have any recommendation on a good food choice? And how can I get him to eat if he doesn't want to eat?
I would appreciate any advice. I hate to see him get too weak and not be able to do anything.
Thanks,
Kelli
