Aeris (a 6.5 year old spayed sable female) was diagnosed with Insulinoma after being rushed to our nearby emergency clinic last night.

I understand that Prednisone is hard on the tummy and that most will not take it straight from the syringe. What can I do to make the experience of dosing her not a fight to get it into her? Can I mix the Pred with something to make it more palpitable?

In terms of diet, Aeris is on hard kibble from "Ultimate Diet from Eight in One". Is that brand sufficent enough for now? What kind of diet should she be on now that she's been diagnosed with Insulinoma? What are good treats for her? Are they even a viable option.

Is there anything else I should be very wary of?

Many thanks in advance!
Tara, Aeris and Ginger & Co.

P.S. sorry about the spelling errors.
