I am not a vet, but in my experience with our own ferrets, they all HATE Pepto Bismol. If your ferret will eat some chicken baby food, then you can slip the medicine in there and they will not be the wiser. We have had great luck getting our ferrets to take all types of yucky tasting meds this way.
I hope you and your vet can track down the cause of this, because ferrets seem to get dehydrated very quickly.
