Well, I'm assuming it wasn't fluid since the vet didn't say anything except
that he's too fat. He does seem bottom heavy, but he seems to have fatty
areas around his legs and elsewhere. His tummy IS round, but it's better
than it was.
So does the fluid usually and up just around the belly area, or does it make
them overall big everywhere?

so when wondering about the cause of a large belly it is worthless to write
in the question, "Is this water balloon belly?" because honestly, the
treating vet has to look for that in a hands-on appointment.
