This is also another issue with Boo Boo that I would really like some advice
on if someone has any: When we took Boo Boo in again for ulcer treatments
the vet checked his mouth and his gums were positively horrible. They were
red, and they bled when touched. The vet also commented that there was
build up and even scraped a "piece" off with his fingernail. I saw Boo
Boo's gums and was horrified, and I'm really worried about this.

Now, the vet really didn't say much about the teeth and gum issue except
that because Boo Boo refuses kibble and has been on the gravy for MONTHS
that this is the cause for the teeth problems. But he (the vet) never
really answered my questions about what we should do. The only thing he
really said was, "Oh, I've seen much worse."

It *looks* painful, uncomfortable at the least, and I'm wondering if this is
why Boo Boo won't eat kibble, rather than it just being the ulcers? Boo Boo
eats gravy like a little piglet, so it's not like he's isn't hungry, and a
few times in the past I've seen him try and eat kibble... but he gives up
easily.

Does anyone have any idea what I should do about his gums and teeth? I hate
the idea of NOT doing anything to help him with this, and I have a sneaking
suspicion his not eating kibble has more to do with the teeth and gums issue
than the ulcers.

Any thoughts or advice??
