Mine are fed their raw food in their cages, which have linoleum tiles. There is surprisingly little mess or blood, even with the mice...giving the tiles a quick wipe down with a sponge is all I've ever had to do. I check to make sure the food is all eaten and take out any uneaten bits (usually just small fragments of chicken bones) before giving them more.
