I'm not a vet. The best thing to do would have been to get his body to
his vet this morning for a necropsey. I've heard of ferrets bleeding out
like that and necropsey found that an ulcer had eaten thru the stomach
wall and into an artery. Once it gets that far, there is little you can
do to save them.
