Subject: Something Other Than Carafate (Suralfate)?

Has anyone used something besides Carafate for gastric ulcers? My ferret absolutely hates the stuff - no matter how it is compounded or flavored. She won't even take unflavored tablets that have been soaked in water and put into suspension. I even tried adding some to baby food just to get her used to the different flavors and texture.
Right now I'm giving Pepto Bismol with a small amount of whipping cream but I don't think Pepto is enough at this point. She has been through a lot the past few months and the stress has taken its toll. She has Insulinoma and I have to find something because she is in pain and doesn't want to eat anymore. I'm also worried about bleeding ulcers based on the color and texture of her stools.
