I crush up a quarter of a Prilosec pill and mix in with a pea sized
Ferretvite (Nutrical, Felovite...) She would eat this. You could do the same with a
Tagamet. I know it says do not crush, that is because it gets into the blood
stream faster. Use a pill cutter. It is easier to use.
The dairy in the egg custard, while it is great for a sick ferret is not good
for one with ulcers. Milk/dairy is soothing at first and then turns into an
acid. Years ago, milk was thought of as good, but not anymore.
Stick to a bland diet. I am sure there are cat foods that are for those with
ulcers. Contact www.nationalpetpharmacy.com. Be sure to supplement with baby
food meat or scrambled eggs or egg whites for higher protein.
