Thanks everyone again!

I took Toby back to a ferret specialist in the area who is highly recommended. They told me Toby has adrenal gland syndrome contrary to the other vets who weren't sure. It is his right adrenal gland and is fairly large. They did recommend surgery and said that they have done right adrenal glands many times. My concern is Tobys low blood count which was 16 on Tuesday and if he would make it through surgery. He is 5. For now they gave him a shot of Lupron. And I am deciding if I should put my poor little guy through this. I am also worried when they do surgery they will find numerous problems. Of course money is an issue also $800.00 to $1200.00.
Is post op extra? I am still unsure about all of this. Can the lupron help Toby with his rbc, vet did not really say. I am suppose to let them know what I decide and I have to bring him back in one month for another lupron shot, but I will see how he is doing. He ate all his food this morning and is alert.

Thankyou,
Dorie
