Hey there. It may be a little ulcer, check with your vet as soon as you can. Check her blood glucose to make sure it's not insulinoma. It could just be a little irritation, but it's best to make sure.
About the meds. Have you tried mixing it in with the food? How about mixing it with some ferrettone. Pill form may be better, if you are able to get it.
