Hi, everyone,

What I've found over the years is that if you change
around your ferrets' environment or actively play with
them when they want attention they will stay awake for
longer periods. If you just let them run around in a
familiar environment with minimal interaction with you
they'll get bored and go to sleep sooner.

Bob Church has written a whole lot about enrichment
for ferrets. I heartily endorse what he has to say.
More exercise and more interaction with you is
healthy. The more time you spend with the little
weasels the more closely they will bond with you.

I don't think the albino who's let out and goes to
sleep after 40 minutes has anything wrong. If you
want him more active give him something interesting so
that he wants to be more active.

All the best,
Caity and the fantastic five
