Hi all,
My beloved fuzzy, Bailey, had to be sent to the Rainbow Bridge three weeks ago. He was suffering badly and I decided he had been thru more than enough (recent adrenal surgery and pancreatic seizures and now probably a tumor blocking his intestines causing extreme pain). I had him euthenized while he was laying in my lap with his paw wrapped tightly around my finger. He was such a sweet and wonderful little guy! He will be deeply missed and leaves a large void in my heart :o(

On a new note...I decided Yogi, my other fuzzy, needed a new companion. I went out and found Buster. He was being passed over at the petstore because of his size, for the littler babies. They told me he was only 3 months old but he was very large. They said they would sell him to me at 40% off. He was such a sweetheart and cleaning the ears of the other babies that I just had to take him home with me.

He is a whopping 5 pounds! Hard to believe he is now only 3 1/2 months old! I also believe he is deaf. He doesn't respond to any noises at all but is very sweet and layed back and doesn't nip at all. He may be overweight due to being stuck in a little cage for a couple months without excersize. He gets plenty of it now!
He can chase me or the cat around for hours!

My problem is that Yogi wants to kill him. I have tried putting them together several times and Yogi just chews the heck out of Buster's neck and back until I get them apart. Any thoughts on how to get them to get along? Also, what is the best way to communicate with a deaf ferret? Can they learn hand signals?

Thanks,

Barb
