It might and he might have a problem with it. Some alternatives need to be to considered, too.
1. insulinoma itself causes nausea until it is well enough controlled.
2. Also if that is an immediate response to being given the med have the vet or vet tech check your medicine giving technique because while the bitter flavor can cause a disgusted bad taste response (so follow Prednisolone with food not only to protect stomach but also to clean the taste from the mouth) but if you are squirting the med to the back of the throat a vomiting-like response can occur to prevent inhalation of the med.
3. Pred of any type should be given with food to shield the stomach, and if the vet thinks there may be an ulcer then -- at a different time -- the generally available liquid Carafate available from any pharmacy should be given. There is more on this in the archives at their sonic-weasel location.
