It sounds like you are really doing a lot for Cujo, I can't even think
of much more
that you can do at home.
What is in your duck soup? How much every 4 hours ( how many ml or
cc's?)
Sub Q will help with hydration, but not blood sugars specifically.

I lost one to insulinoma that did not respond to therapy, or surgery at
the end.
However, I will tell you despite the feedings , fluids, she still was
only 50 after feedings,
and 35 at times between them. If you can fidn out the blood sugars to
see if this
is the problem or not, either the vet, or get a home gluocse machine to
check at home.
I like the Freestyle one, but there are good ones out there. Ebay, and
even free
machines if you buy the strips, etc. The machines that use the least
amount of blood
are the best, and those that don't cost a ton for the strips ( again Ebay
is a good source
for lower costs on these supplies). I would get a sampling of the other
ferrets, and practice
with it to see the ranges. And if possible, even get a sample when teh
vet takes his/hers and
see how accurate it is ( or if always low, then about what % low each
time).
I was able to tell that mine ran about 20% low. That is using a paw pad
stick for the blood, not a nail
clip, so they don't really feel it.

I love having the home machine, I can check my group randomly, and if one
starts to act
odd, get a quick reading. Or one decides to sleep too long ( they know
better !) ,etc.
Monitor insulinoma, although once stable you don't have to check that
often.
I also know the machine runs low, so I don't depend on it to make a
diagnosis, I let the
vet do that. but I can monitor for trends on how the sugar is running
before eating, or
when has a certain symptom.
I even had a diabetic ferret once, so I got a lot of use from that
machine.
No substitute for the vet, just a way to monitor your ferret.
