The stool coloration is simply becauae it is passing so fast, so, yes, other things can cause green stools.

You or another person can bring ECE ibn on clothing or shoes if you have been around other ferrets. Remember that in kits the infection can be hidden.

With possible ECE you will need to take precautions to not infect other ferrets. No interacting with pet store kits for you, or going to shows, etc. for at least 8 months, please, if you are to be kindest to others. When it hit here with a couple of kits arriving to be safest we went nowhere near any other ferrets for a full year.

Of course, it might not be ECE but it sure appears obvious that both have some sort of shared illness: ECE, coccidia, giardia, etc.
