Have you and your vet considered starting this individual on Lupron Depot (not the 24 hour Lupron that one place is testing to see if it might help for a month or not, but the Depot version which is a time release)? Some ferrets who have adrenal neoplasia also get diabetes and some of those ferrets have the pancreatic health as well as adrenal health improve with Lupron Depot. In fact, some you will find mentioned in past FHL posts in the Archives stopped being diabetic with the Lupron Depot. If you search on

Lupron and Diabetes

quite a number of posts come up

The first ferret who I ever heard of helped by that was Julia's Sabine:

Chromium can slightly reduce blood sugar (thus good for diabetes as a supplement -- check me on this but I think Brewers Yeast still has it -- but better not supplemented in insulinoma ferrets):

Another one off insulin with Lupron Depot:

and tehre are more excellent ones if you need them. Those are just some quick pulls.

It is also sometimes the case that diabetes will start after insulinoma surgery but then it is usually temporary.
