I completely understand your doubting it, as it's so unusual :-). But both
times the reaction was so fast both ways that I can't think of anything
else, and what you said about the light also fits, as it was fall, and my
lights are on early then, exactly at the time I let them out to play every
night. But last fall and this fall he kept his hair.
Sigh, I think I'll never get to the bottom of this........
