Dear Eleanor,

I don't know where they got the info. what I can tell you is - In that
2 years we have had ferrets with bi-lateral adrenal, insulinoma and with
renal failure all on melatonin implants.

What I can tell you is that both the renal patients and the insulinoma
patients seemed to get BETTER rather than worse with the implants.

Of course the adrenal patients are doing fantastic with hair re-growth,
weight gain etc/. Just last week another shelter person saw our 6.5 -7 yo
mascot and mentioned he looked like a kit.

I would certainly like to read the report your vet read., To date it is
not what we are experiencing with 2 years of elder shelter ferrets on
melatonin implants/. To date we have 23 each 3 mos that receive the implants!
