Hi Vicky
How long have you had the kits and have they had diarrhoea when you first
got them? Did you get them from a breeder or rescue? =
James Wellbeloved hasn't got potato in it, just potato protein and that is
low down in the ingredients list. Never heard that anybody thinks it is to=
o
rich. All the dry ferret foods seem to be very similar, except some use
natural antioxidants (i.e. vitamin E) and the cheaper foods use artificial
antioxidants/ preservatives (and contain less meat). I noticed Hill's I/D
has got turkey in it instead of chicken. James Wellbeloved uses turkey, to=

Maybe the kits don't tolerate chicken, some ferrets with IBD have problem=

with chicken and do fine on turkey.
The kits should not have diarrhoea. You said they improved a lot on the
Canine I/D and as soon as you give them their regular ferret food they get
diarrhoea again. So I would try a different food. Worth a try.
