Subject: High Creatinine-what else?

I need some help...
Some weeks ago, I wrote that it turned out that one of my ferrets has a high
Creatinine level. Since that I have seen his results and according to it,
his BUN and phosphorus levels are normal.
My vet sticks to the diagnosis of kidney failure but I read everywhere that
if that would be the case, his BUN and phosphorus levels should be high,
too.
I'm worried that something else might be behind it, but I haven't found
anything about other problems that can cause such a result, except
dehydration.
It was already quite difficult to persuade my vet to have another blood
test, and I'm also worried that if my boy's results are the same, he will
suggest diet instead of further examination and I won't know what to say to
him.
That's why I'm asking if someone can help me with what else can cause high
Creatinine level besides kidney failure and dehydration? His blood test
results didn't show any infection, and everything else was normal.

Thank you very much...
Nelli
