There is a very old paper you may want to seek out:

Gould WJ et al. Evaluation of urinary cortisol:creatinine ratios for the diagnosis of hyperadrenocorticism associated with adrenal gland tumors in ferrets. JAVMA 206:42-46, 1995

I know nothing about it.

I have found mentions of creatinine in heart metabolism studies but they do not sound applicable for your situation; they do make me curious, though, so I'd like to know more about the physio involved if people here would like to teach about heart physiology.

Is anything else off? AST, for instance?

Details?

Symptoms?
