Subject: ferret "coughing" alott and breathing funny

Hello all. I am new to this message board but I terribly hope that someone might be able to give me a little insight on what might be wrong with one of my ferrets. She has always had a slight cough but usually while she is eating and I thought it was b/c she eats so fast. Here recently, in the past week or two, she does it much more often and her breathing seems to be very rapid and difficult. Other than that she is ok, sleeps and eats and drinks as usual. Do you think she might just have a hairball? If so, what is a good remedy for that? Thank you
