Thanks for the suggestion. I think it is quite possible that he got or something got him in the compost heap. I didn't think about stings, but def. quite poss.
It's been 3 days and he's eating and drinking a little and pooping properly again. The pinkness is slowly dissapaiting but he's still a bit itchy.
We noticed he was ill late Sun. night and rang the vets first thing Mon. am. His stomach wasn't distended or sore although we were also worried that he could have got something stuck in his intestines. The vet discounted that immediately. We saw 2 vets and one was an exotics specialist!!!
