Can't say that I blame her. I'm not sure what you're using ivermectin for, but if for heartworm preventative, I have an article on heartworms by Dr. Kemmerer Cottrell, recognized ferret vet, which includes instructions on mixing up ivermectin with propylene glycol to be administered orally monthly.
