What I noticed earlier this year was that it was Kaopectate that had
changed drastically.....if I remember correctly, it has the same
active ingredient as Pepto-Bismol now. It no longer contains either
kaolin or pectin, which seems odd to me. Lambert-Kay's Pet Pectillin
is the only product I've been able to find that does. I use it at
about 1.0cc BID for mild diarrhea. Use Pepto-Bismol VERY carefully - one
ferret of mine got salicylate poisoning thanks to the aspirin they've added
to it.
