Our bottle lists Bismuth Subsalicylate, sodium salicylate and salicylic acid among the ingredients.
Past vet posts here say that the third is aspirin, but on then google searching I find that aspirin is "acetyl derivative of salicylic acid".
Still, personally, we prefer the Biaxin and Amoxi approach for helicobacter. Although it costs more it doesn't stress out the ferrets since they get to skip the Flagyl/Metronidiazole and the Pepto -- both of which are typically hated (Stress itself not being good for ulcers.), doesn't cause loss of appetite, and is a much shorter course of antibiotics.
So, learn something every day...
