We have tried to get the Lupron depot but the head vet won't go for it, as for surgery, our bill is already over $1700.00 and as we have 22 ferrets in our care right now we are trying to do everything else first, we have about 9 that haven't had distemper shots as it is on back order and the rest either need boosters or will before the end of the year. The vaccine has been on back order for nearly a year now so we wait!
This med was prescribed by one of the alternate vets so we will hold off giving it till our regular vet is back on Tues. We had another one with apparently the same thing and reg. antibiotics worked fine and that was several months ago.
Thanks for the info, we will keep trying to get the Lupron and think about surgery if the clinic will let us charge more.
