I'd be more inclined to wonder if it is ulceration or perforation from an ingested foreign body that the ferret may have since managed to expel if there are now movements. (Ingested foreign bodies are among the most common causes of death in young ferrets, BTW, because the window in which to respond is short.)

Are removed tissues going out for pathology?

Remember that the vast majority of blockages in ferrets do not show up on x-ray.
