So I have to ask: is this type of delay the norm?
Should I have been able to expect results quicker?
As of today it has been 17 days since blood was drawn.
STILL no results!

**What tests precisely were run? Some specialized testing can and does take
a great deal of time. Most routinely done tests, however, are available far
faster than that. A complete blood cell count (CBC) and serum chemistry should
be available overnight in most places, or even immediately if the hospital
has in-house lab equipment.

The fact that the blood was sent to the University of Tennessee (and the cost
you quote) suggests to me that the test may have been the adrenal panel, and
I have seen that take a couple of weeks in the past. If it was not the
adrenal panel, I would question the length of time that it has been.**
