Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] melatonin

This course was recommended by Dr J Murray on this
loist. The vets office had both, HcG would have had
to be ordered-- also our vet does not order
cystorellin as it is a large animal pharmaceutical.
Where the animal was going to be spayed/ neutered ,
the immediate need was to 1- cycle out of heat the
lupron/melatonin combo did just that very effectively
and quickly.

Lupron on its own can take longer for the hormaonal
blocking agents to kick in .. the melatonin helped
expediate the result wanted so they could be neutered
witout hemorraghing etc. Sooner- rather than later.

That is why - it was specific cases which called for
immediate intervention.
