I am sorry for your loss.

This blood count shows extreme anemia, actually life threatening.
It also shows the bone marrow was working , actually in overdrive
trying to produce more blood ( the high retic count).
That makes this a regenerative anemia ( verses the non-regenerative
types)
The white cell count and platelet count
were also very low- showing the bone marrow couldn't produce any
of it's cells enough. Potentially from an overwhelming depletion, severe
infection, or the cells were being used up or destroyed by the ferret's
body.

Hemolytic Anemia comes to mind, as perhaps blood loss from bleeding.
But in the blood loss scenarios the white cells are typically not
affected.

I don't think there would have been much to do for this, depending
on if the cause, The only emergency thing would have been a blood
transfusion and then you still don't know what the underlying cause
was- so it would have been a very temporary fix.
