Yes, this is very well documented in cats, pigs, mice and several other animals when weaned early and separated from their mothers too early. (I had to recently look up some studies.) If a person Googles on

"early weaning" aggression

a number of such studies in multiple animals come up, if I properly recall the most effective search configuration I used.

I have heard multiple vets say that they wonder if this happens also in some ferrets because they have encountered such individuals. It would be very interesting to know if the percentage of those who are aggressive is increased by such early separations, but so far I not encountered any ferret-specific studies on this topic.
